Politeness

Courtesy and respect are a high priority in this classroom. Be respectful to the
teacher and other students by not interrupting when they are speaking. Raise your
hand and wait to be called upon to speak and show others respect even when their
opinion differs from your own. Bullying or disrespectful actions of any kind will not
be tolerated.

PROCEDURES
HOW WE OPERATE
1. Keep cell phones (on silent!) and other electronic devices out of sight and in your
bags.
You will receive a referral if these items can be seen/ heard or become a distraction.
2. Begin bellwork as soon as you enter class.
3. Food and drink are not permitted in the classroom with the exception of water
with a sealable cap
4. Personal grooming is done outside the classroom.
5. The teacher, NOT the bell, dismisses the class.
6. If you need to use the restroom ask for permission. SIGN OUT when you leave
AND IN when you return. Take the pass. If restroom breaks become excessive we
will discuss an individual plan for you.
7. Place backpacks under the desk during class time for safety reasons.

Tardy Procedure
You must be in your assigned seat working on bellwork at the bell. I will take
attendance and the sound of the bell. If you are late, sign in using either the
Excused tardy form or the Unexcused tardy book by the door, whichever applies
to you.
