BRAVES MANAGER FREDI GONZALEZ:

On what its going to take to get this offense going

Well you know we got 10 hits today. Problem is, you dont want that number in that column you want it in that first
column. We scored 3 there in the 3
rd
and you know with one of [the Mariners] best pitchers on the mound we had to make
that a big inning. We had the momentum and you know we gave it right back to Seattle. We got some hits. We got some
people on base we got some hits. You know B.J. [Uptons] double we could have scored on and gotten right back into it.

On Teherans on-the-road performance

You know sometimes you get those splits. If you keep looking down at those columns whether its day or night, home or
away, you try to explain or justify but you know his last start on the road was at LA and he was about as good as we want
him to be. So its just one of those things that you cant really explain.

On whether their lack of offense recently has been weighing on their pitching

Im not sure. I mean I know that I like the way our approach was today. Today we got some people on base, we got
some hits and scored some runs but going into the series we knew that [the Mariners] bullpen was pretty darn good. We
didnt want [Seattle] to take the lead on us and today they just kind of walked us out and shut us down with their bullpen. I
told them after the game, you know were a much better team than we play on the road. We just need to get back on that
plane and get our offense going.
