Sex: Female with areas of necrosis, from first to fifth
digit extending to the plantar aspect of
the foot.

Take the medicine as directed:
Tell the patient to take the prescribed medicine for 14 days. Inform the patient to inform the
healthcare provider if side effects or allergies occur. Discuss the reason why she should take the
medicine and its side effects.

Exercise / Activity
Discuss safety awareness and fall prevention strategies including asking for appropriate
assistance during mobility and use of assistive devices. Advise the patient to have an active exercise. Tell
the patient to have scheduled rest periods and to exercise the affected leg.
Treatment
Take the antibiotics for 14 days. Discuss the proper wound care to the patient and its
importance in preventing further infections.
OPD / Follow up:
Follow-up visits for continuing care, treatments and other necessary information needed for the
patients condition.
Diet
DM Diet
Recommend foods that are high in protein and less in sugar and carbohydrates. Consistency in
meal time is important in patients with diabetes mellitus to prevent hypoglycemia.
