PROJECT DETAILS:
I-69 will need to be closed during some evenings and overnight hours throughout August and
September to allow Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) crews to put steel bridgebeams
into place. Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of these closures.This work is
part of the overall I-94/I-69 interchange project.
Wednesday, Aug. 20 - Saturday, Aug. 23
Midnight - 5 a.m. nightly
Westbound I-69 will be closed from westbound I-94 to Wadhams Road.
Wednesday, Sept. 3 - Sunday, Sept. 7
Midnight - 5 a.m. nightly
(Work will begin at 11 p.m. on Sept. 3)
Westbound I-69 will be closed from westbound I-94 to Wadhams Road.
Tuesday, Sept. 9 - Friday, Sept. 12
8 p.m. - 6 a.m. nightly
Eastbound I-69 will be closed at Wadhams Road.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:
Westbound I-69 traffic will be detoured to westbound I-94, then westbound Gratiot Avenue to
northbound Wadhams Road to get back to eastbound I-69
Eastbound I-69 traffic will be detoured to northbound Wadhams Road, then eastbound Lapeer Road
to the northbound Lapeer Connector to get back to eastbound I-69.
