Analyze Learners
This lesson is prepared for students in a grade 5 class. This class has a population of 22 students.
There are 14 boys and 8 girls in the class. Most of the students like Matheatics sessions but
there are a fe! students" ainly boys !ho do not en#oy the Matheatics sessions. $e%enty t!o
percent of the class aintains an a%erage abo%e 55&. Learning styles in this class %ary fro
hands on to %isual and as !ell as odeling. $tudents ha%e %arying learning abilities hence the
lesson the ust cater for these differences.

$tudents already kno! the conceptual understanding of fractions as !ell as the process of
deri%ing e(ui%alent fractions. $tudents are able to add and subtract fractions.
Learning Styles: $oe of the students !ill understand instructions by hearing but there are
others that understand the instructions after seeing an e)aple etc. The students lo%e to dra! and
shade and so !ill ha%e fun dra!ing the bo)es !ith the fractions !hile they !ill be learning at the
