As an enthusiastic and innovative graduate, I am motivated by the prospect of teaching in your community. I
am currently employed at Newcomb Secondary College. Here, I have been teaching years 7-11
Mathematics, VCAL, Science and a SOSE component with Year 9 students focused on building their
employability and job skills; prior to this I taught Junior Science and Information Communication
Technology at Bellarine Secondary College. My time at these schools has allowed me to develop, with my
mentors and colleagues, several units in Math, Science and ICT that suit my teaching style and meet the
needs of the schools while accommodating the range of diferent learners in my classes.
While at Bellarine Secondary College, I began to learn who I am as a teacher, and I fnd I am truly
comfortable working with students. The relationships I have formed with students has led to positive and safe
learning environments, the lessons I deliver are diverse and varied creating engaging classrooms. ICT was a
subject that is new to me, as was Mathematics but through my determination and passion to teach I have
been able to present these subjects confdently and enthusiastically. This experience has provided evidence
that speaks to my capability to adapt to a range of subjects. I have fostered a passion through my own
experience teaching Math, Science and ICT that keeps me engaged with the information I deliver to students,
I enjoy the content and seek ways to make it enjoyable for my students.
Your School
I have had experience at several schools now and from each I have been able to draw out new information
and fnd applications for it. I readily share my knowledge and resources through my education blogs and
work with colleagues in a manner that best caters to the needs of our students, I would love the opportunity
to continue having these experiences at !!!.
