Formative Assessment
Quizzes are the common formative assessment tools that
teachers use to check for student understanding.
They are short, easy to administer and can quickly be corrected
even by students.
The results can be immediately discussed with the students and
used to improve teaching and learning.
Results should be fed back immediately to be used to
improve learning.
Summative Assessment
Generally taken place after a period of
instruction and administered at a conclusion of a
unit. (end-of-lesson examination)
