What I learned from editing SIBA:

Euiting the piomotional viueo foi SIBA was uiffeient than pievious
expeiiences at uiain because this pioject is not inteiview-baseu. Aftei
computing houis-woith of viueo footage, I figuieu out how to compiess all of
the uiffeient elements into a two-minute viueo that woulu coiiesponu with
the pie-wiitten naiiation. This was my fiist time constiucting a piomotional
viueo, anu I uiscoveieu that this kinu of visual stoiy-telling can be both
challenging anu inspiiing. Ny job was to piouuce a viueo that will convince
people that this school is iight foi them, anu I hau to think ueeply about the
images that woulu most effectively attiact the inteiest of potential stuuents.
Since I was woiking with a bioau iange of mateiial, I leaineu the uifficulty of
an euitoi's task to iuentify which clips best fit the tiajectoiy of a pioject. The
most significant thing that I leaineu fiom this pioject is the impoitance of
letting a viueo "bieathe." When I fiist went to woik on this viueo, I was pacing
the footage fai too quickly to match the naiiative. Ny supeivisoi auviseu me

viueo woulu feel elegant anu not iusheu. I know that I will continue benefiting
