    Methanol is the simplest alcohol but the most toxic, and toxicity usually occurs when it is drunk. The lethal dose of methanol is around 30-240 ml depending on the individual. Acute methanol intoxication causes fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and temporary blurred vision. Moderate intoxication results in headaches, dizziness, central nervous system depression, and permanent blurred vision. Severe intoxication progresses to decreased respiration and pulse rate, coma, and death. This report describes a case of a 36-year-old male who lost consciousness after drinking lapen containing methanol.
