The course introduces the student to the evolving theory and practice of social entrepreneurship that is responsive to the
context of the Philippines, where poverty and underdevelopment have deep systemic and historical roots. It seeks to provide
innovative perspectives, knowledge and tools to practitioners and policy makers as well as leaders, managers and
professionals in government, civil society and the business sector, to enrich the strategies they employ in addressing
poverty, social inequity and environmental degradation.
