When the heaven and earth began, deities

came into being, the spirt master of the

centre of heaven. Form land reeds sprouted
and formed these reeds came two more
deities. From them came six more pairs of
deities and from the last of them came
Izanagi (He who invites) & Izanami (She who
invites).
Standing on the floating bridge of heaven
they dipped a spear into the ocean brine and
stirred. They pulled out the spear and the
brine that dripped off it formed land to which
they descended. Izanagi & Izanami decided to
complete each other. They met behind a pillar
to do so.
Izanami said to Izanagi "What a fine young
man."
They had a leech child which they let
drift away and formed into a island they
didn't recognised as their own.
Disappointed, they returned to the
heaven and consulted the other deities.
Turns out Izanagi should have been the
first one to say "what a fine young
woman".
Not heading any warnings from any of
the other deities they procreated and
gave birth to 8 major island and 6 minor
islands.
After giving birth to a child that sadly
died in Izanami's arms she went t0 Yomi
(the underworld) to be with her deceased
child after entering Izanami blocked the
entrance to Yomi with a massive bolder.
In morning Izanagi created 3 new deities
1 daughter and 2 sons. Amatera was
created from his left eye she is the sun
and lives in the heavens. Tsukuyomi is
the moon the twin of Amatera but only
comes out when Amatera leaves the
heavens he is from his right eye. And
Susanoo his only son of Izanagi created
from his nose Susanoo controls the sea
and storms of rain snow and hail.
