A Yes/ No question is one that can be
answered with yes or no.
- Are you ready ?
Always begin with one of these verbs and can
be answered with a simple yes or no, or with
the question repeated as a statement.
Yes /No question are asked using Be, Have, Do
or a Modal Verb.

EXAMPLE
Be
Are you from Japan?
No, Im not.
Have
Have they read the book?
Yes, they have.
Do
Do you know him?
No, we dont.
Modal verb
Will she be arriving tomorrow?
She will be arriving tomorrow.
Sometimes, a Yes/No question is used to ask
for information.

- Making a request
- Offering something
- Inviting
- Asking permission

- Shall we go now ?
