Project 1
Project Title: Audio tracking
Project Description: The intern will learn about audio tracking algorithms. He/she will also learn about
embedded product development. The project will utilize internally developed products as development
platform. Implementation in C.

Project 2
Project Title: Lip movement detection
Project Description: The intern will learn about image processing algorithms. He/she will also learn
about embedded product development. The project will utilize internally developed products as
development platform. Implementation in C.

Project 3:
Project Description: Enhancing 3G/4G Mobile Packet Core Simulators

Project 4:
Project Title: Wrapper tool on top of TIMS for ease of use:

Project Description: Specific customized tool on top of TIMS which gives ease of use for Engineers and
Managers. This tool will be a wrapper on top of our regular TIMS which will help engineers in creating
testcases updating results, dashboard for viewing results for particular release etc..For managers this
tool will provide links for queries on progress of testing, quality of release etc...This tool can be
developed on HTML. For students it will give good visibility on how testing is planned, the testing tool
usage (TIMS) and good idea on HTML.
The expectation is to complete the requirement gathering, design and implementation of the system.
Also workout any issues during the testing and making sure the tool gets deployed as a productivity
improvement tool.

Project 5:
Project Title: SIPp Tool Enhancements:
Project Description: SIPp is a performance testing tool for the SIP protocol. It includes a few basic
SipStone user agent scenarios (UAC and UAS) and establishes and releases multiple calls with the INVITE
and BYE methods. It can also read XML scenario files describing any performance testing configuration.
Proposed features
1. Send Dtmf pattern (In-band / RFC 2833)
2. Receive Dtmf Pattern (In-band / RFC 2833)
3. Send media pattern (pcmu/pcma/...)
4. Receive media pattern (pcmu/pcma)
These features need to be embedded into the SIPp application and provide a command line option for
sending / receiving specific media / Dtmf pattern
Scope of work
1. Understanding SIP / RTP
2. Understanding different voice compression standards and incorporating those soft codec stack /
libraries into SIPp and creating a single executable
3. Providing new command line options for invoking SIPp UAC / UAS from TCL scripts

This will be a great exposure to get in -epth hands-on exposure to SIP stack, programming and testing.

Project 6:
Project Title: NGWC (Wired/Wireless) Alpha
Project Description: Intern to help with putting integrated wired/wireless alpha in place in Bldg 16-3,
Bldg 16-4, and setup monitoring tools, scripts, etc.

Project 7:
Project Description: GUI based tool is to help customers to realize the efficiency of the datacenter
selection made by Cisco Global Site Selector Product using the GeoIP based client location awareness.
The Geo-IP database integration is already available on the GSS product. This GUI based tool will
enhance the capability of the Cisco Product. This tool will also help customers to get DNS request
statistics on a Geograhical map . Knowledge of C/C++/Java.



Project 8:
Project Title: Server Health monitoring app
Project Description: This app will monitor the different parameters of the system. Generate reports and
send notifications. ( Java,C, HTML)

Project 9:
Project Title: Tools for the Automation framework
Project Description: This will involve developing Automation tools for the next generation firewall
management software. ( Python)

Project 10:
Project Title: Demo App
Project Description: An app to demo Cisco Secure Management Application by generating data and
walking the user through different features ( Java, HTML).

Project 11:
Project Title: CAF (Cellular Application Framework for Enterprise)
Project Description: Framework for mobile application development to deliver consistent client
experience on Android, Apple and other devices

Project 12:
Project Title: IP Assets and Resource Management
Project Description: An application for managing IP Risk, Resource Deployment and Skill Development
plans




Project 13:
Project Title: Driving Network Intelligence into Cloud Applications
Project Description: As Ciscos customers build, manage, and connect private, public, and hybrid clouds
through Cisco CloudVerse, deliver intelligent network services and value added services in the form of
Cisco Cloud Applications

Project Title: Enhancement of WebEx meeting features
Project Description: Enhance WebEx meeting experience with features like
recording/rewinding/bookmarking, speech-to-text etc..

Project Title: Transform Client Experience by enhancing search experience
Project Description: RelDocs A relational documentation system to be written, stored, filtered as a
single piece of relevant content
