term
or antecedent and b is second term or
consequent
Ratio exist
between quantities of the same
kind.

To find the ratio
between two quantities, we
need to ensure that they are

Ratio, being a
fraction, has no unit .

A ratio does not alter if
its first and second terms are multiplied or
divided by the same non zero number.

If the terms of a ratio are fractions then using
the above property, we may a convert them
into natural by multiplying each term by the
L.C.M of there denominators.

A ratio a:b is said to be in simplest form if the
H.C.F of a and b is 1
