Success Throughout the Years
Jennifer Lopez was sitting in her own office on the 8
th
floor of FEGS with
her PHD hanging on the wall. She couldnt imagine how she got there, for it felt
like she just graduated high school as if it were yesterday. This was just one of her
paths for she had more to take.
When she first started high school her mind was set on being an artist. In
fact, she enjoyed drawing because it helped her relive her stress. Her decision
changed though, in the end of 10
th
grade. She faced many tough obstacles that
changed her life. Jennifer said, If it werent for these harmful happenings in my
life, I wouldnt have been destined to save other lives. As a young teen she
suffered severe depression and PTSD. Now a grown woman, she wanted to do this
for herself and others, proving she made it this far and proud of herself in saving
others as well.
Graduating with her high school diploma, she was eager to begin college as
soon as the ceremony ended. Caps being thrown in the air in that moment, she

already had chosen the colleges she wanted to go to, Suffolk Community College
of Selden and Stony Brook University. Preparing for Stony Brook, she decided to
take two years in Suffolk then two or three more in Stony Brook for her Masters
degree. All applications and scholarships set and done, she was ready for her first
week as a college freshman. It seemed difficult and challenging the first couple of
months but she was determined to keep going, Jennifer never gave up. Later after
graduating both colleges she became a well known psychologist known around
Long Island. That was just one of the careers she was pursuing.
On the side, she was a veterinary assistant helping animals in need as well.
Jennifer loved animals, no matter what shape and size. She couldnt stand any
living thing in pain. Working at Islip Animal Hospital was one of her dreams come
true while next to working at FEGS of course. Watching the joyful faces to all of
her patients and clients gave her sense of accomplishment, which she did well.
There were times where they deceased where there was no way in helping them.
The worst part was, holding them in her arms when they had passed. It was rather
challenging, feeling like she failed. That didnt put her career at a halt, persistence
and motivation is what kept her going since it meant so much to her. Giving her
very best to her own work, made Jennifer feel like do anything. Her family was so
very proud that she really made it that far in her career. It gave her family sense of
recognition for what she has accomplished.

A few years later after that, she created an organization for young
adolescents that couldnt afford psychiatric care and therapy sessions as well.
Even, an animal shelter and day care center was built under Jennifers ownership.
Helpless animals now had a home where they felt they belonged alongside caring
volunteers. She is now well known as a famous Psychologist and veterinary
assistant worldwide. This isnt the end of her path for she has a long way to go.
