We also accelerate the negotiation process to sign an extradition treaty, investigate to
establish dialogue mechanisms of defense at secretary level.
On the other hand, we promote the cooperation in the sector of logistics, defense
industry, actively consult and support each other in the mechanism of regional defense
and security cooperation as ADMM , ADMM plus, ARF. We also reaffirm that ocean
cooperation is a pillar in the two countries relationship.

Ladies and gentlemen, regarding the peace and security of our region, VN is pleased to
announce and emphasize the following East Sea issues:
The peace, stability, security, safety and freedom of marine, aviation navigation in the
East Sea, as ASEANs, the regions and the worlds common concerns, are seriously
threatened.
On 1-5-2014, China inconsiderately set an oil platform with more than 80 armed vessels
and escort aircrafts to the Vietnamese waters. The platform was located at 80 sea miles
deep in continental shelf and exclusive economic zone of VN.
