Informative Speeches
It intends to educate the audience on a particular topic.
This type of speech uses descriptions, demonstrations, vivid detail,
and definitions to explain a subject to a person, or to an audience.
An informative speech makes a complex topic easy to understand or offers a
different point of view in order to communicate the core message to the
audience.

It is the description of a real, tangible, and physical subject that is so vivid
and precise that the audience can picture it in their mind.
The subject could be a place, an object, a person, etc. and is described so
clearly that the audience can accurately visualize and understand its each
component communicated to them.
It is the communication of Detailed Information to the Audience.
Report Speech
It deals with hard facts and precise data in a very analytical way.
It also can be used in a myriad of ways:
i. The life cycle of a flea
ii. A biography of a person
iii. A report giving information about a culture, country, religion,
event, medical condition, etc.
Even topics of some controversy can be informative in this category.
Explanatory Speech
The speech of Explanation defines a process.
This is NOT a how to speech. It explains how and/or why some
process occurs.
This is a more intellectual approach to a process- How diamonds are
formed?, How the AIDS virus invades T-helper cells?, How food cooks
in a Microwave? Etc..
Think of all the processes you understand, any of them have the
potential to be a good Explanatory Speech.

Instructive Speech
This is the traditional How to speech, and this is where the process
is actually performed, or one is taught how to do it.
This has a hands-on feel to it : How to write a good resume, How to
save money/gas/time, How to pack for a vacation Etc.
This kind of Speech guides one or describes one regarding a Process
or Method.
Purpose of Informative Speech
To provide interesting, useful, and unique information to your
audience.

Informative Speech offers you an opportunity to practice your
researching, writing, organizing, and speaking skills.

To create a clearly organized informative communication.

Keep your data in the Speech simple and easy to understand for
your Audience.
Avoid using long over detailed information.
Keep your speech Precise and to the point.
Be with your words so that your audience Understands you.
Use your time wisely and avoid having your speech going on for a
very long duration.
