Jane Fonda
Jane Fonda American actress, model, fitness guru, political activist, Seniors Helping Seniors spokes person and writer was born in 1937 in New York City, N.Y.. Fonda rose to fame as a popular actress in American films and as a fashion model. She won two Academy Awards, an Emmy Award, and Seven Golden Globes before she retired from acting in 1991. Fonda has also been a political activist for many causes. She has proclaimed herself a feminist and has supported many related issues, as well as openly protested both the Vietnam and Iraq war. She co-founded the Womens Media Center in 2005, which aims to give women in the media a bigger voice through the programs that teach women advocacy, how to create original content, and -more-
leadership and media training. Fonda published an autobiography in 2005 titled, My Life So Far, and she has also released a series of workout videos since the 1980s. Fonda has three children from three past marriages and is currently in a relationship with record producer Richard Perry.
