FAITH PROMISE UPDATE
Faith Promise (The ESUMC Mission Team) met the end of September with Pastor and Karen Todd. They both are passionate about involving our congregation in Mission and Outreach to local and international Christian organizations. Supporting our 2014 Partners was affirmed, but the vision for the whole team was broadened to include additional participation in mission teams and joining trips sponsored by others.
The Mertz family has been called to participate in missions during this past year. Various places that different family members served are: Belize, Alaska, Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico, and Wayne has led mission teams. Also, Stacey Young, one of our Nursery attendants, served in El Salvador. They have surely felt Gods blessings in reaching out with Gods love and compassion.
Several opportunities for awareness and support of missions are planned for November. The Luke Billman's, with Shores of Grace, will share about their mission in Brazil on Nov. 2. On Nov. 21-22, a joint Youth/Adult Sandy recovery trip to Ocean City, NJ, is planned. Pat Braun is coordinator and Ray Moeller will be construction leader. There is accommodation for 15 volunteersroom for YOU!! In all we do through FAITH PROMISE may our vision be guided by Gods Holy Spirit.
There are envelopes in the Bulletin today for financial support for our 12 Partners of FAITH PROMISE. Any amount added to other gifts will go towards the Goal of $26,600 for 2014. Also, prayers for our Partners added to other prayers will go towards Gods goal of building an eternal Kingdom.
