Masthead The masthead has not been

included on the contents page. This

challenges magazine conventions as
usually it is included so that the audience
has a constant reminder of the brand
identity and the name of the magazine.
Main Image(S) On this contents page, there are two main
images, one male, the other female. They both feature
direct address which makes the audience feel as the
magazine is speaking directly to them, making them more
persuaded to purchase the magazine. The way the models
are dressed is very stereotypical for the time and genre of
which the magazine is set. This will attract more of an
audience who are familiar with the theme of Vintage Rock
and Roll. It also makes the creators of the magazine look
like they know what they are doing as they have managed
to dress the models in the way people would have dressed
in the 1950s. This will impress the audience in which the
magazine is aimed towards and make them more inclined
to buy the magazine.
Contents Title This is used to show the
audience that this is the contents page
and is located at the top of the page,
right above the actual contents list. The
font is Sans Serif and coloured red to
stand out from the white background.
