*We are moving full speed ahead with Accelerated Reader. Our class has earned 376 points with 83.4% correct and an average reading level of 1.5 (1st grade 5th month). Woo! Hoo! Our average correct went up! Our goal is 85%. We can do it! Congratulations to these members of the 20 Point Club: Jonah, Mary Frances, Zoe, Michaiah, Ava, Kyle, Brayden, and Princess. Some of them are getting pretty close to the 40 Point Club. *Next Week's Curriculum: Math- Addition and Subtraction Relationships (chp. 5) Comprehension- Compare and Contrast Phonics- long e spelled _e/ _ee /_ee_ and syllables Composition- expository paragraph each day in our journal Language- nouns in sentences/antonyms (opposites) Science/Soc. Studies- insect communities *We have had several incidents of hitting. Madison County Schools has a zero tolerance policy for hitting/hurting others. This offense is an automatic office referral.
