Studies:

Carlos Gonzalez

Carlos Gonzalez who currently Works at

U.T.N. as a laboratory assistant at
English as a Foreign Language major
born on September 9th, 1993 in San Jose
Costa Rica. His achievements are
inspired by his parents who were the
most significant people during his
childhood. Values and principles that
have helped him to make right decisions
through his life were well taught by his
parents. There is no doubt that English
was for him because it was his favorite
subject in high school. He always thanks
professors for teaching him to love and to
enjoy that language.
Family:
He has three younger siblings; a sister
and a brother who are twins, and a
youngest sister who is about to finish
high school.
His mom and his dad are the most
admired by him in his family. Besides, he
must stand out how his mother has
struggled against wind and storm to
provide him and his siblings with
education
and
strong
values.

He started his major in English at U.T.N.

influenced by his mother. He took all the
necessary subjects to get his diploma in
this place. Oral communication, creative
writing,
intercultural
communication,
idiomatic expressions, academic writing
and oral expression were among the
ones he enjoyed the most. He is
unquestionably
satisfied
with
his
academic path; however, he must admit
that if he had to take a different academic
path in a further future, maybe he would
do it because he is the kind of person
who aims to study nonstop.
Careers:
His first job was making copies at
Librera Azul. He also works as a shop
assistant in the same place. Then he was
hired by I.L.E. at U.T.N. In addition to
being paid money, it has definitely
broadened all kind of horizons in his life.
It gave him an amazing opportunity from
expanding
media
and
literature
possibilities, (music, movies, TV series,
books, eBooks, and software) to
intercultural and priceless experiences
beyond the academic.
Sports:
Soccer is his favorite sport. His passion
for this sport was inspired by his closest
cousin who forced him to play it. He
describes it as a wonderful sport, and he
also thinks that it is a lifestyle for him.

Love:

General Thoughts:

He believes in love at first sight. He

thinks all people have sensed that spark
when they are starting at the right person.

He defines happiness as doing what you

love while seeing your loved ones
blissful.

Politics:

Main lesson that he has learned:

According to his thoughts, the most

significant political event that has
occurred during his life is the first time
that he participated in the National
Elections. This year 2014 was his first
participation in these ones. It was indeed
one of the most enriching experiences of
his life. Participating actively from this
massive event allowed him to be aware
of the political reality Costa Rica is
confronting nowadays. The political figure
that he most admired is Rolando Araya.
Certainly, he believes Rolando is one of
the most reasonable, bright and
knowledgeable political figures in our
modern times. He never misses radio
program
Cubaces
Tiernos
on
weekdays mornings, and hopefully he
will buy their latest book called Testigo
de Excepsin, which is about their either
direct or indirect participation on the most
significant events that shape our political
history. He has fought for political
causes. For example; he vividly fought for
Frente Amplios ideals, which concerned
one supportive, egalitarian and fair Costa
Rica. To his way of thinking, he not only
would like to punish corruption and
deceitful politics but also reduced
extravagant salaries by implementing
suitable taxes. He would invest more in
education.
