ANALYSIS OF ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

BARNARDOS
Target audience Parents of young children
Campaign Message Most children in the world especially third world
countries are not born with a silver spoon or born into world of a bright future of a clean
environment this is why Barnardos is there to support those who are not as fortunate as
them.

Representation In the advertisement Barnardos use shocking images to tell


people of the poor conditions some children are born into. These advertisements are
designed to create an emotional response and make people want to help them.

This image represents a rich , happy and very


healthy baby this is because the baby is smiling
and has a silver shiny clean spoon in the mouth
this represents a life of no worries. The
background has fur which the baby looks very
comfortable. The lighting on this image is very
golden which has connotations of power and
money. The baby on this image that has a good
quality clean nappy and also arms reaching out
which has connotations of being cuddled , this all
represents the child to been very well looked
after. The slogan on this image is If only every
child was born with a silver spoon this refers to
not everybody in the world is born into a world
of luxury and pampering.

image the baby looks very distressed and the baby on this image is
clinching its fist which gives the connotations of being distressed. The

that the baby wants to be by itself and not cuddled whilst it is

The conclusion is that not every child is born into a
wealthy family and are well looked after and this is where
barnardos can step in and help , but they need are
money to help them to achieve this and be able to do it
very well and efficiently.

female's who like to wear rugged classy clothing. The
age of buyers is 25 35.

Campaign message It shows to the


viewers how resistant and how good the quality of
clothing is that they sell.

are all in adrenalin and dangerous positions such as
falling out of the sky , holding on a branch , sharks
and having a human trap. But all of the models are
very calm and they are all doing something such as
looking at there nails , phone and day dreaming

environment which she is currently in. The
