Exhibit: Egypt notes/ Ancient Egypt Worksheet

Benchmark: Academic
Skill: Top two pieces of work in Social Studies

During my sophomore year, I took world studies as a social studies class with Mr. Flint. In that
class we learned about many countries and geographical locations of specific things. We would
also talk about the different cultures and history about those countries. Once in a while we would
have quizzes over maps of where certain geographical things were located; we had to label them.
One specific section that we learned about was ancient Egypt. In this lesson we took lots of notes
and did many worksheets. On the notes we wrote down things about the Nile River like where it
was located, how it helped the Egyptians, and what type of transportation it provided. On the
worksheet, we learned about all the different Pharaohs and gods/goddesses. It also dealt with the
process of mummification, the pyramids, and what some of the symbols they write mean. These
were two of my best grades in that class because this section was very interesting to me; I did
well on the assignments.
When I go to college, I will need to do all I can to get good grades. I will need to be able to talk
to my teacher and ask questions if I dont understand something. If we get a review or worksheet
on sections, I will need to make sure that I know all the material on those worksheets. Also if I
need to, I can always ask my professor to give me extra practice a certain areas. As a radiologist,
I will need to know what I am doing and be able to execute everything.
