Enforcement Grant
The City and County of San Francisco has long been recognized as a dangerous and deadly city for motorists and pedestrians
alike. The data and studies depicting this are from various outside sources as well as our own local traffic statistics. San
Francisco leads the state and is fourth in the nation in pedestrian casualties among large cities. We submit education and
enforcement components and propose to run a CBO-based education campaign as well as enforcement operations that address
speed and pedestrian right-of-way violations.
