The gathering of data from an entire
population. A census includes everyone in the
population not just a sample.
Eg.
School/education
Jobs/employment
Population size

Sample
To get data from part of a group and use it to
give information about the whole group.
Census = whole group/population
Sample = part of the group

Primary Data
Information that is collected directly by you.

Secondary Data
Information that is collected by someone else.

information because it is not the information
the collector of the data is looking for.
Example (Only asking the basketball team
what the 500 dollar equipment budget should
be spent on)
