There are no special instructions for block center.
What do you hope the children to learn?
The purpose of block activities is to improve manipulative skills, that will develop the small muscles in the
hands and fingers and to improve hand-eye coordination.
The child would be able to improve social interaction.

The children will be able to create a simulation of life on a farm.


The child will be able to identify different types of equipment used on the farm.
The child will be able to develop concept of size, shape, weight, space and number.
The child will be able to identify different kinds of animals that lives on the farm and their purpose...

What are some ways that the children can reflect on what they have learned?
The child will use the blocks build a barn
Plant an Apple Tree. Stack blocks as tall as apple tree.
Using blocks and plastic plants to build a garden to grow plants.
Using blocks, plastic plants and plastic farm animal build a farm.
Provide plastic farm animal and farm equipment toys to make a barnyard.
