This project describes the growth of fertilizer industry, scientific aspects of the fertilizer industry which
consists of Nitrogen fertilizers, phosphatic plants and environmental aspects of fertilizers i.e Processes
adopted for treating effluent and emissions generated during the production of intermediates and
fertilizers.
Then we discuss the technical aspects of fertilizers and the environmental management aspects of using
fertilizers in our environment. The national regulations implemented on the use of fertilizers have been
discussed further.
