Title of Lesson: Jungle Book

Learning Center: Childrens Home + Aid

Age of Child (ren): 3-5

Goal: To teach children about jungle animals

Objective: Children will create a jungle book

Transition Plan: Teacher will read a book "Rumble in the Jungle

Procedure: Teacher will give each child a paper book title My first Jungle Book that
Includes traceable jungle animal names on each page. Children will trace the name of the jungle
animal than peel and stick a jungle animal sponge sticker of the name of that animal
onto each page

Advanced Preparation: Teacher will read Rumble in the Jungle next teacher will put
a paper book on each child desk that is prepared with a cover page and title My first Jungle
Book and traceable jungle animal names on each page for children to trace

List Materials: Multi-color construction paper, glue, variety jungle animal sponge stickers
and markers

Developmental Benefits: Cognitive, small motor, language, creativity, literacy,

social and hand-eye-coordination

Future Plans: Children will create jungle animal face mask
