Title of Lesson: Jungle Animals Eat

Learning Center: Childrens Home + Aid

Age of Child (ren): 3-5

Goal: Teach Children what kind of food jungle animals eat

Objective: Children paste the food that their jungle animal eats in the mouth of the jungle
animal they choose to draw

Transition Plan: Teacher will read what jungle animals eat By Joanne Mattern

Procedure: Children will choose a jungle animal that includes the food it eats and name of
food, paste on the cut-out name of animal above or on animal, cut out the food that animal eats
And paste it into the mouth of the jungle animal they draw

Advanced Preparation: Teacher will print/draw a pictures of an open mouth jungle animal
including the name of animal and food the animal eats

List Materials: Sheets of open mouth jungle animals with its food and name,

glue, scissors

and crayons

Developmental Benefits: literacy/ language, cognitive, small motor, and creativity

Future Plans: Children will color the kind of food they like into the mouth of a picture they
will draw of themselves
