what they think they will need. Children can use the
blocks to create stables or houses or a place for
animals to live in.
Teachers will set up hollow blocks with farm animals.
Encourage students to create homes for animals. Talk to
students about the homes that these animals live in. Set
up blocks in stables and pens to engage student
learning.

Do you remember when you were a baby? What are 1)Baby Animals by
some things that you needed to do? Did you feed

and what they need and how you provide for them.
Have pictures of different animals and ask students
what they know about them. Proceed to make a list
with students about these animals and their abilities.
Have students match the parent animal with the
baby animal. Talk about differences between babies
and adults.
Objective: Children will be able to understand the
difference between animals and humans and make
associations to themselves.
Differentiated/Individualized Instruction: If students
struggle, help them identify the baby and the adult
and give them ideas about what animals do.
