Goal:
Promote Multicultural Awareness

Objective:
Children will discuss that each of us belongs to a family and recognize the families vary

Transition Plan:
Book Families Around the World

Procedure:
Have the children make a family tree with branches and glue. For the purpose of this try to get
branches with y's and let the children pick the branch to write the names of their family
members. Have the children share final activity (family tree) with class explaining.

Advanced Preparation:
Gather all needed supplies including different size round paper plates

List Materials:
Sticks, Paper, Glue, Crayons, Markers, color pencils

Developmental Benefits:
During this multicultural activity preschool children will use Language, eye-hand coordination
and fine motor skills it will enhance their: Cognitive, Social, and Creativity Domains

Future Plans:
Create a Family photo album.
