Oral History Interview Questions

Taylor Dunaway

1. I learned that everyone has a different story, and without Oral History, we
will more than likely forget about the unsung heroes of the world. Without
these stories, there are many lessons that we will not get the chance to learn
from. History will repeat itself and the same mistakes once made will be
repeated.
2. From Jerry Walshs interview, I believe that he doesnt take things for
granted. Hes seen a lot and I believe that he is very appreciative of the time
he has been given on Earth. He is a loving person who isnt ashamed of the
things that hes done. He can be very serious and the world has a lot to learn
from people like him.
3. Oral history contributes to our culture in many ways. In my opinion, it tells
the story of the unsung heroes throughout time. These are the people we can
learn things from. Theyre everyday people, just like you and me that have
had an invisible positive impact on the world. We need Oral History.
4. An NFL Hall of Fame players oral history.
A crisis workers oral history
A Veterans Oral History.
5. The way to know the authenticity of oral history is to relate it to
documentation. In Walshs case, you should research the use of dogs in
warfare and the bases that he was at. This could help support the reliability
of the oral history and prove its authenticity.
