The prophet Muhammad introduced Islam in 610

A.D. after experiencing what he claimed to be an
angelic visitation.

The origin of Islam is traced back to the 7th

century in Saudi Arabia.

This makes Islam the youngest of the great world

religions.

Name of the Deity

Islamic people are

monotheistic.

Their god is referred

to as "Allah".

The picture to the right

is of the symbol used
to convey the word
'God'.

Holy Book

The name of the holy book is the Qur'an.

Only religious book that still exits today and

remains in the same form it was written.

Significance
The Islamic Religion is different from other religions
because it's not just a religion, it is a way of life.
The Islamic faith encompasses all aspects of life
and being a Muslim is not limited to believing solely
in Allah.
