CONTRACT SERVICES
Authorization to contract with Debby Lu aka Lux Consulting for services
related to the technical writing and development of internal processing
procedures and other documents for payroll at a total cost not to exceed
$60,000 for the period from October 28, 2013 through June 30, 2014
(Resolution No. 131024-II-J)

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The College needs to contract for technical writing expertise in the development of processing
procedures and other documentation related to college payroll. Debby Lu aka Lux Consulting
has particular expertise in this field with many years of experience with various City departments
as well as other governmental agencies. The goal of this contract is to complete a Payroll
Procedures Manual, workflows and templates for payroll and payroll accounting processes no
later than June 30, 2014. Debby Lu aka Lux Consulting will report to the Associate Dean of
Payroll during this engagement.
RECOMMENDATION:
RESOLVED: That authorization is hereby given to enter into a contract with Debby Lu aka Lux
Consulting for services related to the development of a Payroll Procedures Manual, workflows
and templates for payroll and payroll accounting processes with a total cost not to exceed
$60,000 for the period from October 28, 2013 through June 30, 2014; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor of Finance and
Administration and/or their designee are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents
on behalf of the District to effectuate this resolution.
