CONTRACT FOR THE ENGAGEMENT OF A CONSULTANT FOR THE TESDA COURSES OFFERED IN

CEBU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (CTU) THROUGH BARANGAY PAJO – ALTERNATIVE

LEARNING SYSTEM

KNOWN ALL WOMEN AND MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

The Consultancy Agreement made and executed by and between:

The LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF BARANGAY PAJO, LAPU-LAPU CITY, a local government
unit, with official address at U. A. Ybañ ez St., Pajo, Lapu-lapu City, represented by its Barangay
Chairman, LYNDEL T. BULLOS, a Filipino, of legal age, herein referred to as “CLIENT”

LEILANI S. CORDERO, of legal age and a resident of Pajo, Lapu-lapu City herein referred to as
“CONSULTANT”

WITNESSETH THAT:

WHEREAS, the Client wishes to have the Consultant perform certain services and the Consultant is
willing to provide or perform said services:

NOW, THEREFORE, The Parties hereby agree as follows:

1. Services
The Consultant shall perform the services specified in Annex A, “Terms of Reference and Scope
of Services,” which is made an integral part of this Contract (“the Services”).

2. Term
The Consultant shall perform the Services commencing March 15, 2020 and continuing up to
March 14, 2021, renewable at the option of the signatory of the Client, but in no case shall
exceed the term of the latter.

3. Payment
For the services rendered pursuant to Annex “A”, the client shall give the services as PRO BONO.

WHEREAS, the project is a Training Program for TESDA Courses offered in Cebu Technological
University (CTU) to be catered to the students of Alternative Learning System (ALS) in Barangay
Pajo, Lapu-lapu City.

WHEREAS, the training program aims for the students enrolled in ALS to be qualified in taking the
NC II Certification in required courses offered by Technical Skills and Development Authority
(TESDA).
WHEREAS, the training program has is divided into 2 parts: (1) training and education and (2)
assessment, which will be determining factors for the qualifications in taking the assessment for the
NC II Certification.

WHEREAS, Barangay Pajo, through its ALS, requires the services of a consultant who has the
technical and management expertise to advise and ensure the successful implementation of the
training program.

WHEREAS, this consultancy agreement does not create an employer-employee relationship.

NOW, THEREFORE, for an in consideration of the foregoing premises, both parties hereby declare
and agree to the following:

SECTION 1

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

This covers the engagement of a Training Program Consultant under consultancy basis for the
Training Program for TESDA Courses offered in Cebu Technological University (CTU).

SECTION 2

EFFECTIVITY OF THE CONTRACT

This consultancy agreement shall commence on March 01, 2020 and expire on December 31, 2020,
unless sooner terminated based on the provisions of this contract.

SECTION 3

OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTIES

3.1 The CONSULTANT shall perform the following tasks and responsibilities for the contract and
shall act in accordance with the TERMS OF REFERENCE attached to this consultancy agreement as
Annex A:

3.1.1 Be responsible for planning, administration and coordination with different

stakeholders for the timely and proper operation and implementation of the project activities,
including reporting and for directing the execution of the project strategies and activities towards
the achievement of the project objectives.

3.1.2 Ensure coherence and harmonization of the training program components.

3.1.3 Lead the work and planning for the project.

 3.1.4 Ensure project implementation per Approved Work Plan and delivery of the required
outputs.
