What is Dance?

Dance is the art of movement of the body, usually rhythmically and to music, using prescribed or
improvisedsteps and gestures."A dance" is any one prescribed sequence of such movements, or the
music to which it is performed, or an event at which it takes place. Dance may also be regarded as a
form of nonverbal communication recognizable in other animals; in bee dances and behavior patterns
such as mating dances.

Dance can be categorized and described in various ways. It may be analyzed purely by its
choreography, its repertoire of movements, or it may be classified according to its time or place
of origin. Dance, the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a
given space, for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply
taking delight in the movement itself.

Dance is a great form of exercise, every routine is a workout. It is great for your balance and
focus, which is beneficial if you play sports because your performance will increase
dramatically. Dancing is always a great way to keep busy and is a lot of fun, it can be done
anytime, anywhere; even in the downtown areas where everyone stares at you.Dance represents
your feelings.
