INTRODUCTION:-

Recruitment and selection are two of the most important functions of personnel
management. Recruitment precedes selection and helps in selecting a right
candidate.
Recruitment is a process to discover the sources of manpower to meet the
requirement of the staffing schedule and to employ effective measures for
attracting that manpower in adequate numbers to facilitate effective selection of
efficient personnel.
Staffing is one basic function of management. All managers have responsibility of
staffing function by selecting the chief executive and even the foremen and
supervisors have a staffing responsibility when they select the rank and file
workers. However, the personnel manager and his personnel department are
mainly concerned with the staffing function.
Every organization needs to look after recruitment and selection in the initial
period and thereafter as and when additional manpower is required due to
expansion and development of business activities.
Right person for the right job is the basic principle in recruitment and selection.
Ever organization should give attention to the selection of its manpower, especially
its managers. The operative manpower is equally important and essential for the
orderly working of an enterprise. Every business organization/unit needs
manpower for carrying different business activities smoothly and efficiently and
for this recruitment and selection of suitable candidates is essential. Human
resource management in an organization will not be possible if unsuitable persons
are selected and employment in a business unit.

3.1 Research Methodology:Followed for the present study involved several activities which were
not necessarily carried out in a sequence.
Activities that are followed are highlighted in the following sequence.

3.2 Research Problem:Following are identified as problems from the present study:1. How to tackle quality related imbalance in an upcoming company.
2. How to tackle interfacial imbalance in an upcoming company.

3.3Objectives of the study:-

Following were identified as the objectives of the study based on the


research problems in the above paragraph 3.2.
Objectives: To identify what constitutes quality of human resources in a company.
To find out the barriers in maintaining quality of human resource in a
company.
To find out the barriers in improving quality of human resources in a
company.

SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The following are the suggestions received from the respondents of the
questionnaire. These suggestions are based on their awareness regarding the
Recruitment and Selection procedure.
During the selection process not only the experienced candidates but also
the fresh candidate should be selected so as to avail the innovation and
enthusiasm of new candidates.
In the organization where summer training facility prevailing then such kind
of practices must be adopted so that the student can learn and gain from
their practical views.
Candidates should be kept on the job for some time period; if suitable they
should be recruited. During the selection process, the candidates should be
made relaxed and at ease.
Company should follow all steps of recruitment and selection for the
selection of the candidates.
Selection process should be less time consuming.
The interview should not be boring, monotonous. It should be made
interesting.
Evaluation and control of recruitment and selection should be done fair
judgment.
Methods used for selection of candidates should be done carefully and
systematically.
Hence the authorities concerned should immediately look into it and try to
implement it.

CONCLUSION

According to the study as experienced by me as a management trainee in an


organization personally feel that environment factors and individual are based on
the analysis through the questionnaire responses the following is the conclusion of
the study.

The organization follows the rules and regulations involved in their


Recruitment and Selection procedure of the organization. However, there is
some scope for improvement with regard to following:
The managers are fully satisfied with the existing Recruitment and Selection
procedure.
The Recruitment and Selection procedure should not be lengthy.
To some extent a clear picture of required candidates should be made in
order to search for appropriate candidates.
The Recruitment and Selection procedure should be impartial.
In all means it could help me to gain some knowledge regarding the
Recruitment and Selection procedure of an organization.
Individual interface needs improvement for the success of the organization.
