The image is that of an eagle and a peacock together.
The Eagle symbolizes United States of America since the seal of the President of U.S.A has an eagle on it. The Peacock symbolizes our country India, the National Bird of India. The picture clearly depicts that there is strong relationship in the making between U.S.A and India. On November 24th, 2014, Indrani Bagchi, editor at Times of India came up with an article namely The Republic's Guest which speaks about Indo-US ties and inviting U.S president to India for the Indian Republic day which has sent out a signal to everyone that U.S will be playing a major role in transforming our country. India has never fully trusted the US. During the first years after Independence, the lack of trust on both sides was ideological. India was a cloaked communist country for the US. India did not see the US in positive light either. Since the 1990s, the two countries have tried to shed that old baggage but not very successfully. But now things seem to be changing between both the countries. Indian Prime minister Narendra Modis intent on involving U.S.A to transform India is now the driving force in building a bridge between both the countries. On an ending note, a bilateral trade relationship is set to be established between both the counties with a common motive of ending terrorism so as to make the world a better place to live with happiness and harmony.
