What worked?

What didnt?
For whom?

I changed Dianas shoulder rest from a sponge to a Kun. She is now

able to hold the instrument without any difficulty. We are still
working on how to hold to bow. Dianas tends to have a collapsed
wrist when she starts to play the violin.

Adjustments

I need to do more demonstrations and also more exercises without

playing the violin such as sliding our bow hand up and down the
bow and also looking at the label underneath a can and putting it
back on the shelf

What instructional
changes do you need
to make as you
prepare for your next
lesson?

Proposed
Changes
If you could teach this
lesson again to this
student/group of
students, what
changes would you
make to your
instruction?

Justification
Why will these
changes improve
student learning?
What research/theory
supports these
changes?

Resources:

Whole Class: I would have paired two people together so they can
do exercises, help and learn from each other.
Groups of Students: Split them up into separate groups and have
them work with each other. I would still do the same exercises but
have the students work together.
Individual Students: Do a lot of demonstrations and give that
student that one-on-one attention. Work more on technique and
have a lot of collaboration.

These changes will improve student learning because the students

will need co collaborate more with the other students in the class.
They will be engaged in all activities if they are working in pairs. If
it is with an individual student then that student will be able to try
out all of the exercises and get great feedback from the teacher.
