Welcome to Hatari Golf Society

Hatari is a non-profit making golf society that is run by its members for the benefit of its
members.
Our aim is to provide an enjoyable days golf for anyone who wants to play regularly or
only occasionally, or wants to participate in our competitions. We play twice during
weekdays and every Sunday, alternating between our home courses: Uxbridge, Ruislip
and Haste-Hill.
We have a Trophies-competition each month and two annual knockout competitions, a
round-robin KO and a straight KO. We are very fortunate in having these trophies
donated by our members. These are played for on an annual basis at our home courses
or outside. All monthly Competitions are followed by a Social evening and prize
presentation. Prizes are usually awarded for winner and runner-up, team prizes, nearest
the pin, nearest the pin in two and longest drive etc. In addition, at the end of each year,
we hold an Annual Trophies Presentation; Annual awards are presented to: 'Player of
the Year' , Most Improved Player, those achieving the highest scores at each of our
home courses and winners of knockout & FedEx style competitions.
We follow R&A rules of Golf and Etiquette with exceptions as stated in our
rules. We maintain a handicap system in accordance with R&A approved handicap
system, CONGU (UHS). Once you have played 6 games with us, we assign you
a handicap which then enables you to participate in our competitions as a full Hatari
member (rather than as a guest).
The Society is run by consensus of its members it has no hierarchy, no managers nor
committees. Its operations are set up to work such that the Society can function as
a self-perpetuating operation. It functions by members voluntarily taking on tasks
and responsibilities; all decisions are made by consensus after consultation with rest
of the group.
Anyone can join Hatari. We are an open and inclusive society. Everyone is welcomeOur members cover a diverse cross-section of people of all ages and of varying
abilities from 10 to 28 Handicap. There are no joining fees, nor annual-fees, and
members only ever pay for the events that they wish to participate in.
