Equivalence Condition

1. Whether a white shoe is a confirming evidence of the hypothesis all ravens are black?
If yes, state your reasons for the answer and explain the impression of paradoxicality.
If No, state your reasons for the answer and analyse which of the conditions (N.C or E.C) is
inadequate? (250 words, 8 marks)
2. State a hypothesis and its deductive evidence. And analyse whether H-D model of
confirmation satisfies Equivalence condition. ( if possible, base your analysis on the above
example of hypothesis and its deductive evidence)
