Calibration Dryers Maximum Temperature

Objective:
The objective of this calibration was to ensure that the operating
temperature of the dryer was within the standard temperatures set out in
the ASTM or ASME ES-165. The standard operating temperature is said
to be not more than 160F (71C) 8.7.1

Equipment:
The equipment used in this calibration were the 1600/ Chromalox digital
thermometer and an analog backup or cross reference thermometer inside
the oven itself.

Procedure:
The procedure we followed was to turn all power on for the wash station/
dryer station and set the dryer temperature to 140F. Upon inspection
when the digital reading was showing 140F we observed the analog
thermometer inside the dryer.

Results:
Upon inspection and cross examining the readings of both thermometers
appeared to be very accurate of one another.
