Supply Chain Process

Pakistan tobacco company`s Supply Chain stretches from Crop to Consumer. The primary objective of
the Supply Chain in PTC is to support a significant domestic market delivering quality products while
remaining cost competitive and maintaining benchmark status in Environment, Health & Safety.
Management of the supply chain involves the management of procurement of tobacco leaf, processing
of raw materials in two factories to produce finished goods and finally transporting the quality products
across vast areas of the country to our distributors.

Procurement process
Direct procurement:
In direct procurement PTC treated there all raw material raw material of PTC is Tobacco, filter
and paper.
Indirect procurement
Indirect procurement includes all other things except that were treated in direct procurement:
Furniture
Office equipment
Packaging
PTC done its procurement process by two ways
1. Tendering
2. Contract basis

Procurement of international brands is done by BAT (British American tobacco).

Warehousing
In Pakistan PTC has 215warehouses including main warehouses and sub locations where direct
and indirect both type of distribution is done. At least stock of 10days is always maintained in
warehouse.
