The College of Law held its Socialization on August 25, 2014 at the Alumni House Conference
Hall of Northwestern University. The theme for the said activity was Law School is No Fool, How
Law Can You Make It? It was attended by almost all the law students as well as the Law Students
Council headed by the LSC President, Miss Eliza Rodriguez. The faculty present was headed by the
University President Atty. Ferdinand Nicolas as well as the Dean of the College of Law, Retired
Prosecutor Manuel F. Aurelio. The very highlight of this event was the inspirational talk of Atty. Robert
Camarillo, a neophyte lawyer of the university, who also shared his most unforgettable experiences
when he was endeavoring at the law school and eventually became as such. The night was full of
excitement and camaraderie as each year level presented their surprise intermission numbers. The night
ended with the message of the University President followed by the Dean of the College of Law.
LENTE SEMINAR
The COLLEGE OF LAW of this University was given the privilege to hold a seminar sponsored
by Legal Network for Truthful Election (LENTE) on September 17, 2014 at 6:30 in the evening.
All law students were required to attend this seminar in order to be informed and updated on
this particular subject. The seminar was conducted by a lone speaker/representative from LENTE. He
discussed the objectives and brief backgrounds surrounding the existence of LENTE.
The speaker thoroughly entertained the law students by giving them some sort of seatwork
relative to irregularities during elections, of which the law students complied with the seatwork. There
was also question and answer portion wherein the students were encouraged to raise their questions
relative to LENTE.
The seminar lasted for two (2) hours.
BAR OPERATIONS 2014
On the night of October 4, 2014 at around 7:00 o'clock in the evening, a group of students as
well as the officers of the Law Student Council gathered in front of the City Hall of Laoag City for the
departure going to Manila in order to attend the Bar Operations 2014. Each year level has its
representatives assisted by a lone professor in the person of ATTY. MARIEGOLD AURELIOCABRALES. The group was provided with the university bus as their mode of transportation in going
back and forth to Manila. They arrived in Manila at around 5:00 o'clock in the early morning of
October 5, 2014 and thereupon immediately proceeded to the place of the bar examination which is the
University of Santo Tomas. At that very hour, there were still a few people and buses thereat, so that the
group positioned itself outside Gate 2 of the said university in order to meet and give moral support to
the examinees of NWU and for the purpose of giving them kits containing some sort of needs. When
all examinees were already inside the university, the group then proceeded to take their breakfast at a
nearby fast-food. At around 6:00 o'clock in the afternoon, the group contacted the NWU examinees in
order to treat them for dinner, however only one examinee, Miss Rishelle LLanes was able to join the

group. After a brief talk with the examinee while taking dinner, the group finally said goodbye to her
and wished her good luck.
