3. Assignment 5
Draw the attached drawings by using AutoCAD. You will be
given a Help File.dwg which will contain the basic
geometry of the main plan view including the drawings
frame.
Choose wisely the appropriate number of layers and blocks
that are required in order to make your AutoCAD drawing
easier to manipulate and edit. You can use a black
background and give to each structural member type a
different color in order to make the drawings easier to
read when viewed on the screen.
Write down your comments about the difficulties that you
encountered during the development of these drawings and
give a list of the layers and blocks that youve created.
Do not write more than 500 words.
All drawings and sheets must contain your name and the
Student Code (SC) that you will be given during the
lectures.
An electronic and a hard copy of the assignment should be
submitted at the last weeks lecture (specific instruction
will be given).
Do not try to copy other students assignments. Each
student will have to present his/her drawings, in order to
show the procedure that he/she chose to create this
project (layers, blocks, type of lines etc). Any copied
assignment will be nullified.

Note: Any attempt of improvisation will be awarded with

extra points. The Final Assignment represents the
25% of your final grade.
