CHAPTER 2

When we organize every exercise, we have to think about the following elements:
1. The game: creating football problems (at the right level of difficulty) improve
football skills;
2. Number of players: it depends on the specific task;
3. With or without GK;
4. Goals provide direction, objectives and feedback;
a. Goals size: smaller size needs less defense, so the players can focus on
the attack; bigger size needs keeping ball possession (avoid giving the
balla way), improving 1v1;
b. Presence of a dead zone: avoid the defenders to stay stuck in front of the
goal, and encourages 1v1. If you use that with a novice GK, he can just
deal with shoots, stopping and distribution;
c. Multiple goals (funino);
d. Line goals;
e. Target goals;
f. Channels (with flanks) and zones: you can score if a player receive the
ball inside that zone, and keep playing without stopping the game.
5. Objectives as a goal;
6. Rules to start and restart play;
7. Rules as limiting factors;
8. Adapting rules;
9. Create consequences.
