What is DOF?
A DOF is (Depth of field) refers to the range of
distance that appears acceptably sharp. It
varies depends on camera type, aperture and
focusing distance, although print size and
viewing distance can also influence our
perception of depth field.

What is Aperture
An opening, such as a hole, gap, or a slit also a space
through which light passes in an optical or
photographic instrument, especially the variable
opening by which light enters a camera.

The lower the


aperture the photo
will be blurry at the
back ground and
clearer in the front.

The higher the


aperture the
clearer the
whole
everything.

Small number small depth


of field but big hole.
Big number big depth of
field but small hole.

There are two different depth of


fields:
1)A short/ narrow depth of field.
2)A large/ big depth of field.
