Dark Horse Storage Solutions

1. Job Site Security
Need: Break-ins at demolition sites are common. Thieves often target high value
metals such as copper.
Concept: Build a device that can sound an alarm if a pile of copper is being stolen by
monitoring capacitance.
2.

Decreased Footprint
Need: Urban construction sites are often limited by
space.
Concept: Create a container that can constrain
materials in a compact space.

3.

Autonomous Transport
Need: On smaller job-sites, large equipment for moving material is
not always available. Therefore, relocating piles requires timeconsuming manual labor.
Concept: Design movable storage containers similar to Amazons
Warehouse robots.

4. Material Dispensing Container

Need: Material needs to be loaded into a truck when it is transported
to a recycling facility or into equipment for processing on site.
Concept: Prototype a storage container that can load material into a truck or
processing equipment (crusher, mixer, etc.) without an excavator.
