    News from Room 3

    Welcome Back

    January 20, 2015

    Our first week back in school was great. Students came to school ready to learn
    and with positive attitudes. I have to admit that I was very eager to come back to
    school because I missed everyone very much.
    I want to thank the students who completed their winter homework packets. I really
    enjoyed reading about all the exciting things that students did over break.
    I wanted to let you know that we did not have library this week, Mrs. Prudehome
    was out sick. We will be visiting the library on Thursday, January 29th. If your child
    has not returned their book to class please make sure they bring them by our next
    visit.

    100th day of school


    We have planned a fun day where the children will
    experience 100 through many different activities. To
    help us visualize what 100 objects look like, we are
    asking that each child decorate a plain t-shirt with
    100 items. Some ideas to use as decorations are
    stickers, googly eyes, fabric paint, cotton balls, buttons,
    pom-poms, safety pins, stamps, etc. Fabric paint is an
    excellent decoration because it is lightweight and
    doesnt fall off. Have fun creating any shirt that you
    would like with 100 items on it. Please have your child
    wear their shirt on Monday, February 2nd as we
    celebrate the 100th day of school!

    Bienvenidos de nuevo...
    Nuestra primera semana de regreso a clases fue excelente. Los estudiantes llegaron a la escuela
    listos para aprender y con una actitud positiva. Tengo que admitir que estaba muy ansiosa por
    volver a la clase porque extraaba mucho a los estudiantes.
    Quiero agradecer a los estudiantes que completaron sus paquetes de tarea de invierno.
    Realmente disfrut leyendo sobre todas las cosas emocionantes que los estudiantes hicieron
    durante las vacaciones.
    Quera hacerles saber que no visitamos la biblioteca esta semana, Mrs. Prudehome estaba
    enferma. Visitaremos la biblioteca el jueves, 29 de enero. Si su hijo/a no ha regresado su libro a
    clase por favor asegrese de que lo traigan para nuestra prxima visita.

    100 da de la escuela
    Hemos planeado un da de diversin donde los
    estudiantes podrn explorar 100 a travs de muchas
    actividades diferentes. Para ayudarnos a visualizar lo que 100 objetos
    parecen , estamos pidiendo que cada estudiante decore una camiseta
    simple con 100 artculos. Algunas de las ideas para utilizar como
    decoraciones serian calcomanas, ojos saltones, pintura de tela, algodn,
    botones, pompones, imperdibles, sellos, etc. Pintura de tela es una
    excelente decoracin porque es ligero y no se cae. Divirtanse creando
    cualquier camiseta que usted le gustara con 100 artculos. Por favor que
    su hijo/a se vista con su camisa el lunes, 2 de febrero para celebrar el da
    100 de escuela!
